Negotiation, Drafting, and Dual Representation

Negotiating and drafting prenuptial agreements comes with a unique set of thorny issues and specific considerations. This course will focus not only on the technical aspects of drafting a prenuptial agreement but the lawyer's role in representing clients who are simultaneously getting married and planning for divorce.

Aimee is a partner of the firm and the co-chair of the firm’s matrimonial and family law practice group. Aimee has been recognized as an outstanding lawyer in New York by several publications, including The New York Times and New York Magazine. She was appointed in 2016 by the Chief Judge of the Appellate Division, First Department, as a Special Master to mediate matrimonial and family law appeals. She was also appointed by the Chief Judge of the Appellate Division, Second Department, to serve on the Committee of Character and Fitness for the 2nd, 10th, 11th and 13th Districts. She is the President-Elect of the Brooklyn Bar Association, and will be inducted as its President in June, 2017. She serves as a co-chair of the Brooklyn Bar Association’s Family Law Section, a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Articles Editor of the Brooklyn Barrister, and an Arbitrator for the Matrimonial Fee Dispute Panel. Aimee also co-chairs the Kings County Matrimonial Pro Bono Project, and is an active member of the New York State Bar Association House of Delegates. Prior to joining the firm, Aimee was a member of Bender Rosenthal & Richter LLP, Isaacs & Richter LLP, and Goldberg & Cohn LLP.
