Master the art of protecting sensitive information with this bootcamp, covering metadata and redaction techniques for legal professionals and beyond.

You can discover many secrets within any electronic file’s metadata. Unfortunately, what lies underneath can also provide others with a wealth of information if you're not careful. Managing metadata has inherent risk and is an increasingly critical element in discovery.
Despite the risks, metadata is a powerful litigation tool. Metadata can be analyzed and used to authenticate evidence, as substantive direct evidence — as well as to highlight patterns, establish timelines, and expose gaps in data.
Despite decades of cautionary tales, even sophisticated entities — including the U.S. Supreme Court in 2024 — continue to commit major metadata gaffes.
This advanced webinar will reveal everything you need to know as to "data about data." Learn how to find and interpret it; preserve, collect, and produce it; scrub it; and use it to verify or refute the authenticity of electronic evidence. It will also convey crucial tips as to proper redaction methods.
