Workers' Compensation Claimants' Lawyer at Kaleita Law Firm, LLC
Doug Kaleita is an Atlanta based lawyer who represents injured workers in the Georgia Workers' Compensation system. Doug has been practicing law for 33 years, initially in the areas of Commercial Litigation and Insurance Defense. For 29 years Doug has had his own law practice representing injured workers in Georgia. Doug attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate studies, and then worked as an accountant for two years before attending law school at Wake Forest University. In law school Doug was active in various honorary organizations including the Wake Forest Law Review and Moot Court Board, and received various awards for academic excellence. Since 1994, Doug has represented Employers and Employees in the Workers' Compensation system of Georgia, but has focused mostly on representing injured workers in Workers' Compensation claims all over the state. Most recently Doug has been selected by Thompson West as one of Georgia's Super Lawyers in 2023 and again for 2024. Doug has also appeared as a speaker at a number of CLE seminars on Workers’ Compensation law in Georgia. In his spare time, Doug is an avid musician, and plays classical and other styles of piano, as well as guitar, drums, and other instruments. Doug also enjoys sailing large sailboats, which offers a peaceful break from the fast paced stresses of running a law practice.
