The curriculum begins by exploring the typical conversations that are often deemed as too difficult to have.  It then looks at the psychology of difficult conversations, helping participants understand the underlying dynamics and emotions at play. It then delves into active listening techniques, teaching participants to genuinely hear and comprehend others' perspectives.

The course covers assertiveness, enabling participants to express their thoughts clearly and respectfully. Additionally, participants will learn how to be the adult in the conversation and how to calm down angry or emotional people.  Throughout the course, emotional intelligence is a recurring theme, emphasising self-awareness and empathy. Participants will gain insights into managing their emotions and recognising emotional cues in others. By the course's end, attendees will possess a comprehensive skill set to approach difficult conversations with newfound confidence, fostering healthier relationships and constructive outcomes.

Very helpful video. Only criticism is Sarah's window obscured some of the wording of the slides / presentation. Very useful though on a discussion and engagement level, reminding people of basic interactions and to take a step back to principles of transactions and engagement

The course was informative. It all depends on who the difficult conversation is with and no matter whom the objective is to exercise self and emotional control.
