About This Course

Legal writing is something you do every day, but not all lawyers do it as well as they should.  Legal writing often goes wrong because we started writing before, we took sufficient time to consider the audience and the goal we are trying to achieve. 

In this program, veteran litigator Andrew Struve provides sage advice and practical tips for effective and persuasive legal writing including how to: Tailor you’re writing to appeal to the reader and to achieve your purpose; Focus your writing to achieve the key objectives of clarity, organization, conciseness, persuasiveness and credibility; and avoid common errors that distract the reader and detract from the persuasiveness of your writing. 

The program includes an outline of tips and tricks that you can refer to the next time you are drafting an important legal document.
