Master high-stakes trial advocacy, cross-examination, and persuasive storytelling through the lens of Kya Clark’s dramatic courtroom defense.
Great courtroom advocacy often comes to life through compelling stories. Using the bestselling novel and film Where the Crawdads Sing as a case study, this engaging course explores essential litigation techniques through the lens of a high-profile fictional murder trial.
Participants will analyze the prosecution and defense strategies, evaluate evidentiary issues, and consider whether a motion to suppress would have succeeded. Through selected trial scenes, the program examines opening and closing statements, direct and cross-examinations, witness credibility, alibi defenses, and practical courtroom advocacy. Attendees will also gain valuable guidance on managing difficult clients and strengthening their overall litigation approach.
