Genine D. Edwards is a justice of the Supreme Court, 2nd Judicial District, in New York. She was elected in the general election on November 3, 2015. Edwards was a judge of the New York City Civil Court from 2006 to 2015. Education: Edwards received her B.A. from Long Island University–C.W. Post and her J.D. from St. John's University School of Law. Career: Prior to joining the court, Edwards worked as an assistant corporation counsel for the New York City Law Department, as a staff attorney for the New York State Power Authority, and as a private practice lawyer. She joined the Civil Court in 2006.
