Surrogate Gingold was elected in November of 2022 to Surrogate's Court, New York County. Prior to becoming a Surrogate, Judge Gingold served as a Civil Court Judge in New York County as well as in Kings County Criminal Court. Prior to entering the court system, Judge Gingold worked for the Queens Volunteer Lawyers Project and maintained a private practice specializing in trusts and estates, guardianships, and real estate. Surrogate Gingold is a past president and current Judicial Chair of the Network of Bar Leaders as well as past president of the Queens County Bar Association. She is an active member of several bar associations, including the Surrogates Association of the State of NY.

Lisa Barbieri is currently a Supervising Court Attorney in the New York County Surrogate's Court, working with Hon. Hilary Gingold. Prior to her current appointment, she was the Principal Law Clerk for Surrogate Gingold. She was also an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School, teaching Wills and Trusts, and previously served as an Assistant Attorney General, Charities Bureau. Before working for the State of New York, Lisa first worked in private practice, concentrating in the areas of tax law and estate planning. Lisa earned an A.B. at the University of Chicago, a J.D. at Boston University School of Law, and an LL.M. in tax at New York University School of Law.

Vera Zolotaryova has over fifteen years of civil litigation experience working in both the courts and the private sector. Currently, she serves as a court attorney-referee for Surrogate Hilary Gingold in the New York County Surrogate's Court, where she assists the Surrogate in managing her inventory of cases, drafts decisions on a variety of trusts and estates issues, conducts hearings and conferences, and negotiates settlements in acrimonious estate disputes.

Caroline Rose Winchell (Rosie) is currently a Legal Secretary to the Judge in the New York County Surrogate's Court, working under Hon. Hilary Gingold. Rosie is a third-year law student at Brooklyn Law School, set to receive her J.D. in May 2026. She is also the current President of Brooklyn Law School's chapter of Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honors society. Rosie received her B.A. with honors from Hunter College and previously studied at King's College in London, England.
