Bert advises clients on the legal implications of their data before, during, and after a privacy or security event. He has guided businesses, non-profits, and government and municipal entities of all sizes through hundreds of suspected and confirmed privacy and security events, including representing clients in litigation and in response to government investigations from state and federal regulatory agencies arising from privacy and security events. Bert also counsels clients on implementing policies, procedures, and processes for managing and protecting their data and for responding to suspected misuse of data.
