About This Course

The Post-COVID outlook for litigating matters through the courts paints a dismal picture for litigants getting their day in court due to overall backlog of cases caused by COVID.  Additional backlogs with foreclosure eviction and back-rent cases on the docket and the largely undiscussed impact of criminal justice reform on our state’s courts will likely serve only to exacerbate the problem.

NAM Hearing Officers,  Hon. Peter B. Skelos (Ret.), William G. Primps and Larry P. Schiffer will discuss how the use of arbitration and mediation can help alleviate the backlog caused by the pandemic and share their perspectives on how to expedite your case and facilitate settlement in various practice areas, including complex commercial, insurance and reinsurance matters.
